S2 seeks to hire a starting-level Client Services Manager who will support client relations, business development, and advocacy efforts and ensure a high level of professionalism and consistency in client services. The Client Services Manager will be provided substantial support and mentoring from senior S2 staff but is expected to be a quick study who is motivated to take on increasing responsibility. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter with strong interpersonal skills. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, and a zest for sustainable development and federal policy-making is desired.  

 S2 is ready to offer a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package for a full-time, starting Client Services Manager. The Client Services Manager Job Responsibilities will include:


  • Organizing and managing client relations, including phone calls, meetings, client trips to Washington, DC, (including securing meetings with government officials and others), and firm trips to client localities. 
  • Managing client communications, including weekly newsletters, email communications, webinars, tumblr posts, and social media posts.
  • Assisting the firm in the preparation and implementation of funding and policy strategies for client projects.
  • Assisting staff in research, drafting, packaging, and submitting grants and other applications to federal, state and philanthropic organizations.
  • Assisting the firm in business development and marketing to prospective clients through maintaining a contact database, managing promotional activities, developing proposals, updating the website, and conducting social media outreach.
